Was going to chime in on this as well for the AXE16000 - I've just become used to the ROG interface and I like it more.
But I do understand. Thanks for the update and your work! I look forward to getting back on the ROG theme next release.
I had a problem with Plex port forwarding a while ago on my router (AXE16000). What I did was kept the internal port default but used a different external port...worked a charm
I guess that's supposed to be funny.. The router runs just fine with only Skynet running so thats what I'm doing. If I install Diversion and Entware, everything goes to s*** so I'm staying away until there's an update to fix whatever is wrong.
That entware update ruined my AXE16000. Just running Diversion and Skynet and something corrupted the kernel. According to the logs, it tried to repair itself after each crash but would crash again and again and again. I updated to 388.2 beta, pulled my USB stick and turned off custom scripts...
Yeah it's going to absolutely need Merlin support for me to purchase. As soon as I realized the AXE16000 had Merlin support I was all over it. Mmmm
Probably not - at least from Broadcom and not anything ARM-based really. They're very capable chips but once you begin turning on features like...
Yeah the two 10Gb ports are fantastic and a complete necessity for me going forward. A router with only one 10Gb port isn't really a true 10Gb router - you need two ports, one in one out to a switch for a true 10Gb backbone. And if you aren't doing a custom Pfsense router build, this is pretty...
The GeForce Now certification gives you faster gigabytes in the router's super AI core thereby increasing gigahertz kilobyte effectiveness and packet saturation for the ancillary augmentation throughput cores which allows you to achieve faster click times on your mouse.
Well I'm speculating here but I think Skynet was meant to ban incoming/outgoing communications from IPs outside your LAN, therefore I would assume that there's probably some hard-coded whitelist for LAN IPs so you don't accidentally ban someone in your home. Or it might operate entirely...
I do like the ROG theme for your firmware, I just wish it had the CPU utilization graph on the dashboard page.
$450 for the AXE16000 sounds better. ;) Really though, keep in mind future upgrades for your network and what you might need going forward. It's one of the reasons I bought the...
See anything on a possible fix for the AXE16000 and guest networks not allowing clients to connect to the internet if the "allow intranet" option is set to "disabled" ?
Got it. I've never enabled that option as I have no need for it just yet. Will attempt to continue to work with Asus to try to remedy the problem tomorrow and see how far I can get.
Yeah, I also flashed the official 388 firmware and reset - same problem. Definitely no internet access when that Intranet block is enabled.
Is NTP interception enabling the local time server option in System settings?
