    Release RT-AC86U Version 3.0.0.4.384.82072

Auto updated this end as well. I noticed this f/w a couple of days ago and usually like to see the reaction here over a week but woke up this morning to see if automatically got the f/w installed. That's never happened since I brought the router 2yrs ago. Mandatory update maybe.

    AC86U RT Firmware 3.0.0.4.384.81918

Not a great sign. They pulled one a while ago with no explanation. I'd usually associate that behavior with some kind of negative feedback from more than one user.

    AC86U RT Firmware 3.0.0.4.384.81918

Decided to take the plunge and perform the upgrade via wired connection from the GUI. No problems to report yet but if I have any, I'll try a full factory reset with initialization before raising any concerns.

    ASUS RT-AC86U - 4th May - New Firmware version 3.0.0.4.384_81858 (04.05.2020)

Still showing 81369 as the latest on my end via their site, but the app is showing this latest version. I suspect the routers GUI will show the latest as well.

    ASUS RT-AC86U - 4th May - New Firmware version 3.0.0.4.384_81858 (04.05.2020)

It's appearing on the android app but not on the Asus site, so it seems legit. The MD5 check, does this check the authenticity and integrity of the file?

    ASUS RT-AC86U - 4th May - New Firmware version 3.0.0.4.384_81858 (04.05.2020)

Hanging fire on this one as the last f/w was pulled for unknown reasons. Waiting to hear more feedback (hopefully with the majority being positive)

    ASUS RT-AC86U - NEW - Firmware version 3.0.0.4.384_81792 (14.04.2020)

Can I just clarify then, you would recommend downloading the f/w of their website and upgrading that way? I usually just upgrade via the mobile app, would you advise against this? Additionally, just wanted to know what a dirty upgrade is? Is this an update without the factory reset afterwards?

    ASUS RT-AC86U - NEW - Firmware version 3.0.0.4.384_81792 (14.04.2020)

I have used channel 100 before and it was working fine before the update. This was also with the auto channel select unticked. Has this now changed then?

    ASUS RT-AC86U - NEW - Firmware version 3.0.0.4.384_81792 (14.04.2020)

I suspect a new f/w will be issued to address some of these bugs. My 5ghz is set to broadcast on channel 100 but clearly it's showing on a different channel via analysis tools. Last time I contacted Asus was over 3 weeks ago and the issue then was fixed via this f/w update (although not part of...

    ASUS RT-AC86U - NEW - Firmware version 3.0.0.4.384_81792 (14.04.2020)

Interested on how I would go about re-installing the same f/w. I assume this would have to be forced on at this point? Just wondering if anyone else is having odd behavior before I try forcing firmware on the router.

    ASUS RT-AC86U - NEW - Firmware version 3.0.0.4.384_81792 (14.04.2020)

Game Device Prioritizing seems to be fixed, however upon addressing some issues, they have managed to break (or at least change) some things on the channel selection. 2.4 GHz - Channel Bandwidth seems to be fine, however when selecting a different channel, any net analyzer tool (android or pc)...

    ASUS RT-AC86U Firmware version 3.0.0.4.384_81369

Asus emailed me today just to inform me the 3 logs I have provided have been passed to the development team to replicate the issue. Fingers crossed this is an easy fix.

    ASUS RT-AC86U Firmware version 3.0.0.4.384_81369

Another bug I have noticed is trying to turn of adaptive QoS. Couldn't even try turning this off in favour of game mode just in case there was a conflict. Firmware definitely need addressing.

    ASUS RT-AC86U Firmware version 3.0.0.4.384_81369

My first drop out on both channels since installing this f/w (not the first one ever) Tempted to think it was the result of me coming back from the shop and my phone reconnecting. I'll keep an eye out but seems fairly stable other than the game mode bug.

    ASUS RT-AC86U Firmware version 3.0.0.4.384_81369

I was hoping this would work as intended but looks like an inherent issue of the f/w as multiple users are affected. Hopefully a quick f/w update addresses this.
