Merlin thanks for the reply.
I selected fixed channel 36, saved the settings and rebooted the router.
Unfortunately, the router switched again to a DFS channel (as displayed in the wireless log) though the UI is showing channel 36 as selected.
I'm using the AC87U (FW: 380.3459) already for sometime now. But lately I noticed that some of my 5GHz clients cannot find the AC87U anymore. The reason is that the AC87U is switching to a DFS channel (although I selected channel 36 as the channel to use) though my clients do not support DFS...
Installed the 9.0.04.380_2695 and using it for a week or so. But sometimes I notice that the 5GHz cannot be found by my Asus AC53 USB Wi-Fi adapter (btw. it finds my other 5GHz network). Other devices e.g. Samsung S7 always detects the 5GHz network. Restarting the AC53 doesn't work only a...
With the latest beta I noticed the following issue.
My AC87u acts as the main router and my AC68U as a repeater.
After a while (couple of hours) the clients connected to repeater don't get a IP address assigned through DHCP (of the AC87u).
Only a reboots helps. Anyone else experiencing this...
The issue was not in the AC68U firmware but it is in the AC87u firmware.
Apparently the AC87U does not give any IP addresses via DHCP to clients connected through the repeater (AC68U) firmware.
It only does for a short while after a reboot:(
Installed .7498 on my AC68U but I can't get the 5GHz repeater functionality working.
As an AP I use the AC87u with firmware .7449.
With previous firmware versions it was working fine.
Anybody else experiencing the same issue?
