    Thank you. I have internet access via the second router when I let the wizard set it up. Under "LAN DHCP Server" the wizard leaves the default Gateway blank and also DNS servers blank. Should I leave these blank? Next is to set up VPN with merlin!

So then I assume I give the second router a fixed IP in the networks range. If it's in router mode and NATing then won't that cause problems with any device...

    No FW Upgrade for 11 months

    So I clear the NVRAM BOTH before and after loading new FW (which must be unzipped)? To Clear NVRAM Hold WPS button, power down, power up, wait 10-15 seconds and release WPS button Can't restore the settings so make notes or screenshots and manually reset them all.

    I have used all FW's except the first (.72) and UPnP has never worked for me. But it only takes 2 seconds to manually foward ports with this fine ASUS GUI.
