I re-enabled roaming assistant after upgrading the firmware, and noticed some initial instability that resolved over a couple of days.
Since then, I only had a couple of times or zones in my house where I'd end up getting node hopping or random disconnects.
I don't think it's perfect yet, but...
I think things are indeed getting better with this firmware update. I had disabled roaming assistant earlier but was still experiencing random drops. I have now re-enabled it after noticing improvement with this new firmware and we'll see what happens.
No - still having intermittent issues. I can't nail exactly what the issue is.
I'm tired of turning on and off my device wifi multiple times per day. I've started grabbing wireshark captures during connectivity issues - it looks like I'll suffer from high packet loss (either wired or wireless)...
The DNS reports here are weird - but seem to align with what I experience intermittently. I've started grabbing wireshark captures when things get weird. It looks like I get high packet loss and repeated DNS lookups and can't connect. Not sure what the root cause is.
My pcap (after I anonymized...
That is fascinating. I haven't messed with the node configuration yet, but I'll give that a try.
I've even had issues where my wired Apple devices will suffer high packet loss or get a 169 IP address when waking from sleep. I've been gathering logs with wireshark, and can see the high packet...
I turned off roaming assist over the weekend and thought I had been in a more stable place, but I just lost network access (while my macbook showed connected to the wifi network still) in the middle of a zoom meeting - meaning TCP and UDP both lost connection.
Logs showed this (my laptop is the...
My laptop went offline today while sitting next to me and the only way to get it back was to turn wifi off and back on again. It gave me a DNS error (DNS_Probe_started) and my logs indicated it was deauthorized due to low signal. But it's 10 feet from one of the nodes, so not sure how that...
Weird connection drops happened again today. Sometimes it would kill Zoom and sometimes it would kill everything else (browser, email, ping, etc) but zoom kept going.
I am having similar issues - random connection issues. It happened a few times today. I was working on a zoom and randomly lost internet on my laptop around 10:48. Turned off wifi and back on and net came back.
Happened again around 11, but Zoom kept working even though nothing else worked...
Hey everyone - I previously posted about some challenges I was having with my 3 node setup from BestBuy (read here). I'm going to focus on my current state, because I still can't put my finger on what my root cause is. Either way, I continue to experience regular network drops on WiFi when using...
I remember wincing at that review before pulling the trigger on the system :).
It's kind of a mixed bag - the system will be buggy! But also, hesitate before getting new firmware! I knew jumping into bleeding edge tech that I'd bump my head into the wall some. Hoping that as more folks buy the...
I did a full factory reset on the router and two nodes, and the network is less stable than before. Connections will randomly hang - udp seems fine (zoom calls aren't interrupted) but I won't be able to ping domains or ip addresses and trying to do a traceroute on my mac will just freeze, where...
