Gig service on modem but AX11000 says 500Mbs Need Help

We can certainly look into it. Let us know which feature actually helps or makes things worse, and we can go from there.

    Disable IGMP Snooping on AX88u

That did it. The moment I ran the command, IGMP membership queries stopped. I wish this could be built into a small toggle switch in IPTV GUI.

    Disable IGMP Snooping on AX88u

this is what I found for multicast: /tmp/home/root# find / -name *multicast* /sys/devices/virtual/net/spu_us_dummy/statistics/multicast /sys/devices/virtual/net/ip6tnl0/statistics/multicast /sys/devices/virtual/net/bcmswlpbk0/statistics/multicast...

I don't use TOS tagging on home network, and my QoS experience has been on enterprise equipment only. So, you could be quite right here. Let's see if OP can comment on any advanced features that he may or may not be using.

    Nothing showed up. /sad /tmp/home/root# find / -name multicast_snooping /tmp/home/root#

DSCP or diffserv only come into picture when there is contention on the link, which in this case there isn't. But there maybe a software bug then. Let's try disabling it then.

Hmm... I logged in with admin rights from root, but it told me to piss off. I wonder if the router is just mad at me at this point.

    Disable IGMP Snooping on AX88u

Sorry, where do I execute it? Right on the SSH? or is there a special "conf t" mode that I have to enable in there? I got this result: /tmp/home/root# echo 0 > /sys/class/net/br0/bridge/multicast_snooping -sh: can't create /sys/class/net/br0/bridge/multicast_snooping: Permission denied

Gig service on modem but AX11000 says 500Mbs Need Help

Correct, because ASUS doesn't have an ASIC to do these in hardware, so they are relegated to software processing which loads the CPU.

Agreed, I have seen many firewalls drop to 1/4th the advertised capacity when you enable Deep packet inspection and IPS. Let see if he can check both of our suggestions.

That would be a logical question at L3 and above layers, but this is a top of the line router. I don't suspect it to cause a bottleneck at 1gig. I push that on my ax88u.

Ok then your wire and L1 neg for interface handshake are working fine. Next step is L2, all I can think of there is MTU issues causing retransmissions or something like that. Do you have another 2.5gig switchport on that router in lan port area, or another 2.5gig switch?

    Disable IGMP Snooping on AX88u

So did you completely miss the part where I said,”I can clearly see the LAN Gateway IP (which sits on AX88U) generating IGMPv3 Membership queries.”? Wireshark tells us which frames are being communicated, their purpose is identified with reason. igmp membership queries are typically generated...

    Disable IGMP Snooping on AX88u

I do understand that IGMP snooping and Multicast routing a two different things, I am a CCNP. The reason I mentioned it, is because older routers had IGMP option in IPTV, and this one only has Multicast routing, so I just mentioned it before anyone asks. If you read my question again, the IGMP...

If you look at the dashboard, you will see your ethernet ports listed there (bottom right in system status section). What is the negotiated link speed that you see there for your WAN port?
