There are no other scripts running. I am using 32 gig usb thumb drive, ext4. Only installed Diversion. When it is installed is when cores will randomly go to 100 percent. Uninstall diversion and spikes are gone. CPU core spikes were before and after I did hard reset of router.

I just uninstalled Diversion and did a reboot. Monitored for 30 minutes. Had multiple devices streaming music and online gaming and all four cou cores barley went over 10 percent. Not sure what to do now?

This is all great info everyone, makes deciding tough. I see on Amazon the AX6000 and the AX86U Pro are very close is price with the AX86U Pro only slightly more. My current router has been rock solid except for the reboot issue with the 5ghz radio.

I think the AX86U Pro may be a better choice for me. Newer hardware so my thoughts would be it would be supported longer. Thank you for the recommendations.

Hey thanks for the replies everyone. So using the ac5300 as the main router is the wrong direction it sounds like? I do have Ethernet cable running upstairs. Any recommendations on a decent setup? Would running two ac5300 work? or ac86u as the main and two ac68u ?
