Release Asuswrt-Merlin 3006.102.4 is now available

It is. I don't have any IoT devices. Here are my settings. Again, NOTHING in disabling/enabling these changed anything. Changing the IP from DHCP to static from the end device(s) did it.

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 3006.102.4 is now available

That's the first thing I did. Didn't work.

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 3006.102.4 is now available

Did all that, nothing worked. Here is what worked for me, as I noticed connecting to the Guest Network worked perfectly, even with my initial (unchanged) settings: it's somehow a DHCP conflict issue (no idea how or why) So I ended up simply: deleting the DHCP entry from the router (for the...

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 3006.102.4 is now available

This version broke my 2.4Ghz Wireless connection I had working well on previous firmwares. Wireless devices try to connect to the same 2.4 networks as previously - supposedly pass the password & MAC test - then I see "Obtaining IP address" and it disconnects, then tries the entire process again...

    AX86U auto-reboots on Mondays

I hate to admit it, but you might be right. Using USB flash drives as scratch disks never really made sense.

    AX86U auto-reboots on Mondays

Update: found out what was causing this. It was the firewall (Skynet) auto-update. Sometimes it glitches the USB and makes the whole router reboot. I just disabled the auto-update.

    AX86U auto-reboots on Mondays

Reboot happened today, Monday, 19th of June. As you can see, there were no log entries between May 5th and June 19th, but here: may 5th log I had Dual WAN turned OFF for months, no idea why it still says about load balancing. Noticed that below it I had "Auto USB Backup WAN" ON, turned that one...

    AX86U auto-reboots on Mondays

RT-AX86U router reboots automatically Monday at 6:00 AM. Merlin firmware version 388.2 I checked in the GUI (Administration -> System) the scheduler is OFF, and in the AMTM I do not even have the reboot scheduler script installed. I did do a reset & reboot after installing this firmware...

    Detachable antennas

I use the Edimax EA-MARS 802.11n/MIMO Antenna Relocation Stand, with the original antennas from the AX86U screwed into it, just to move the reception higher and in line-of-sight, while I can keep my router (and cables) in a ventilated cupboard. It works with my current AC devices, even though...

    Beta RT-AX86U Pro firmware 9.0.0.6.102.4856 2023/3/21

Having more than 5 WG simultaneous clients (on idle/fail-over) would be very useful when you need to switch countries/states/nodes quickly in order to circumvent censorship, maybe find faster direct connections when streaming, even avoid DDos attacks. Please, PLEASE don't disconsider it. 10...

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 388.2 is now available for select models

Everything running smooth, thank you @rmerlin.10954 ! Q: is there a possibility to expand to more than 5 WireGuard connections set in the VPN client (& VPN director) list, perhaps in a future update, or is this something only ASUS can do in their base GUI ?

    WireGuard VPN routing

How does the Wireguard work in the VPN director (default ASUS/Merlin GUI), if multiple connections are active, do they work: 1. as aggregate? Meaning you get faster internet speeds divided between connections? or... 2. as simple failover, when one fails, the next one is automatically used...

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 388.2 is now available for select models

No update 388 yet for Wifi 5 (AC) models? AC86U specifically. The repo still only shows the 386 firmware of last month to be the latest.

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.10 is now available for AC models

I managed to make it (version 386.10) somewhat stable by experimenting A LOT then finally disabling (setting to "No") both the "Extend the TTL value" and the "Spoof LAN TTL value" options. Hope this helps. Now only the WireGuard Manager fails - stopping all of internet traffic - even though I...
