    Release ASUS RT-AX3000 Firmware version 3.0.0.4.388.23403 (2023/05/31)

I know everyone is just providing feedback to either help the community or to seek help themselves, but not providing details on which hardware your using in this case as there are 2 that this specific FW loads unto, makes it ambiguous.

    Beta [Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin for RT-AX58U_V2

Not sure why you source yourself from your own post as evidence of "low-quality experience this router model offers" for the ax58u V2, but I get it, you are not a fan of the model. BTW my post was simply about popularity not recommendation of this particular model. In any case thanks for...

    Beta [Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin for RT-AX58U_V2

Yes, as it seems this is #7 top seller on amazon where the next supported ax86u router is #20. On Bestbuy the ax58u is way more popular seller as well. But i suppose the more important data is from RMerlin's downloads and install base, his main sourceforge site does list the ax58u as the top...

    Release ASUS RT-AX86 Series(RT-AX86U/RT-AX86S) Firmware version 3.0.0.4.388.22525

I also reported a bug with Traditional QOS and Bandwidth limiter affecting WLAN to LAN speeds, with either enabled the transfer speed from my laptop to my NAS which are within the LAN drops by about 25%. There must be something wonky with how QOS is implemented on the AX86U

Trying to add second AiMesh Node - Need Help

I wonder if its because the ac66u_b1 has a default wifi encrypted password enabled that makes this more tricky that other nodes. Because I can't connect to the ac66u_b1 with my laptop when i set it as a aimesh node without providing its default wifi password. Or maybe the aimesh router is...

WG Server test with flowcache bypass

You seem to imply that the LAN switching to your NAS is done by the Mikrotik, and not the AX86u. My issue has been confirmed by several others. but if your setup works, good for you. My setup is basic, just a NAS connected to a a Ethernet port port on the router and my laptop on wireless. The...

WG Server test with flowcache bypass

Hate to keep repeating this. but there is something wrong the the AX86U though. Enabling any QOS except adaptive throttles transfer within the LAN on the AX86U, for example transfers from my laptop to my NAS takes a hit if Cake is enabled. Note that I'm not talking about traffic to the internet...

WG Server test with flowcache bypass

An alpha version pertaining to this thread has been released, so I guess I can post here just for clarity I don't know what you are trying to convey, is it that your WiFi to Ethernet in your LAN is faster with cake enabled than with it disabled, or that you simply have faster then ~80 MB/s with...

WG Server test with flowcache bypass

I know that's an option but I prefer the simplicity of cake, that works fine from a QOS standpoint, it's just the on the AX86U it kills my throughput to the LAN attached NAS as well. Anyway this is slightly off topic, thanks for the clarification @RMerlin

WG Server test with flowcache bypass

Oh ok, so its a long standing bug then with the AX86U. I've reported this a long time now but i guess no one uses Cake QOS on the AX86U and have a NAS.

WG Server test with flowcache bypass

I see, I thought NAT acceleration was for LAN to WAN and vise-versa. I didn't know NAT was used so heavily even within local LAN to LAN or LAN to WLAN (wireless)

WG Server test with flowcache bypass

This would be great, as on the AX86U even WLAN to LAN gets slowed down by QOS aside from adaptive

Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 388.1 Beta is available for select models

The ax86U does behave wonky with QOS, I notice that WirelessLAN to wiredLAN files transfer speeds drops 25% with QOS enabled. This does not happen on the lower ax68U model.

Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 386.5 Beta is now available

I was hopeful when I saw "A number of fixes and improvements were implemented in Traditional QoS" But it doesn't seem those fixes had anything to do with the LAN to LAN throttling when traditional QOS or Cake is enabled on the AX86U. I know the AC86U and AX68U doesn't throttle LAN transfers...
