    DD-WRT - Kong's firmware (Download)

That was a very weird thing to do. I am betting he just changed his mind and used this as an excuse.

    NETGEAR Debuts AC3200 Nighthawk

Sorry but no router is worth anywhere near $300. They are just jacking the prices up to see how much they can get away with charging for.

    Linksys WRT1900AC First User Reports

I don't agree. If anything the WRT1900AC is the one being overhyped. Sent from my GT-N5110 using Tapatalk

    Linksys WRT1900AC First User Reports

Actually most rankings its at number 4 (the first two routers being in a tie). And there are only 5 routers total in the list.

    EX6200: disappointing 2.4 GHz speeds

    DD-WRT on the NETGEAR R7000

I am noticing less range and slower transfer speeds using DD-WRT. Enough that it probably will keep me from using it. In the same room as the router, its actually a little faster with DD-WRT, but at the other end of our house it has slower speeds and some spots it has no connection. I tried...

Asus RT N66 or AC66U ? IF offered around same price

On my RT-N66U router the Shibby firmware is more stable. When I installed the Merlin firmware, within the first week the wireless signal stopped responding at least 4 times and I had to reboot the router each time. Sent from my GT-N5110 using Tapatalk

    Asuswrt-Merlin 374.40 is out

I am trying out this firmware for the first time on my Asus RT-N66U router. I don't know if its just me or not, but all ten of the routers displayed when I do a site survey, all show 100% strength. I know that's not correct. Previously I was using the Shibby firmware, and many of those...

    Asus RT-N66u with TomatoUSB firmware

I prefer the Shibby version. He uses the RT-N66U for his router. He posts in this link (translated because its in another language)...

    Asus RT-N66u with TomatoUSB firmware

I tried that just now. It didn't display for me either until I rebooted the router after saving it. The only problem now is that I can't turn it off. Or I haven't figured out how to yet. I don't think he did a good job on that. Its not user friendly at all.

ASUS RT-N66U Dark Knight Dual-Band Wireless-N900 Gigabit Router Reviewed

That 9.1.0.3_125 version is one that Asus had me try to fix a problem I had with some client devices getting stuck on the detection. It fixed it for me, or at least for those two devices (Epson printer and a WD Media player).

Asuswrt-Merlin - custom build of the Asus RT-N66U firmware

You probably don't have a device that causes it, but for me its any device that you can access by typing its IP in a browser, and view or change it settings. Like a printer, or a media player (like a WD Live TV). Those are the connected clients that it has problems with. Although they...

Asuswrt-Merlin - custom build of the Asus RT-N66U firmware

I am still using the Tomato firmware, but one thing that continues to annoy me about the Asus firmware is the problem they have with correctly displaying the connected client list. Many times it hangs on certain connected clients. I had that same problem on the rt-n56u also. Yet the custom...

Firmware .108 What are you finding?

I could be wrong, but there doesn't seem to be that big a difference in signal strength between Tomato and the Asus. Sometime when I switch between them, it looks the same. But it's hard to test that because just slightly moving things changes the signal for me. I have that rt-n56u also, but...

    Asus RT-N66u with TomatoUSB firmware

I only tried the Toastman firmware once, but never got it working, I didn't put much time on it. From what I read he has something turned off on it for whatever reason, I think DHCP or something. The Shibby version works fine for me. I use WPA2 Personal, and AES encryption. I have an iPad...
