Thanks for your help Bob. I wanted to keep the R7000 as my main router so I kept the R6300v2 as the bridge but I bridged using the 2.4 GHz channel. Worked fine. Must just be to much interference with 5Ghz. I did move the router up higher and...
Thanks Bob. I will turn off security first to see if that makes a difference. And if that doesn't work I will try switching the router bridge to the other. I may try another router with antennaes as the bridge.

I have a new Netgear R7000 set up as my main base router. It is working fine for hard wired as well as 2.4 and 5Ghz channels. I also have a new Netgear R6300v2 router that I bridged to the R7000 using the 5Ghz channel. It will only connect to the R7000 when both routers are in the same room...
