But it won't change much. Even if I'll edit profile with notepad, ovpn gui can't establish connection. But once I'll create profile on older firmware and flash new alpha - no issues.
Hello. Found the bug. If you'll generate profile of OVPN on both alpha versions at AC86U, you'll get profile with port 0. While on 384.5 everything is ok. Only way to have working OVPN is to generate profile at 384.5 and then update to 384.6 alpha.
Strangely enough wireless drops happens only in L2TP mode. Dynamic IP and PPPoe works fine. That is confirmed by number of users from CIS. I was using AC86U as wireless repeater because that issue for 6 months with zero hiccups. But recently I have switched it back to wireless router mode with...
Asus was contacted multiple times through their feedback form in WRT and website. It was not only me. As I already mentioned lots of CIS users experience these problems. They did it too. At the launch of AC86 there were Asus reps showing up on the forums here. That was one of the reasons of...
Hi. I am interested if that firmware have any changes related L2TP-Wi-Fi instability issue? I was posting that on official AsusWRT forum but nobody haven't answered.
Dear RMerlin would you please take closer look for this issue at AC86U? That'll be great since none of Asus reps paid any...
Hello,
I am owner of AC86U for almost year now. And I am forced to use it as wireless repeater. Pretty pricey repeater, I'd say. The problem is that whenever you use L2TP protocol to connect internet via WAN port you'll face random wireless drops. Wired connection have no problems at that time...
Tried new NG 1.0.2.44 and no luck with L2TP. Everything works on 1.0.2.41SF and lower versions.
Voxel, can you port L2TP past from 1.0.2.41SF to new versions of your firmware? Appreciate your answer.
I think it's the matter of time when Duma OS will arrive to R7800. Either NG itself will update R7800 or we'll see port of Duma OS from XR500 made by someone here. Hardware wise R7800 is still very capable platform and I think that XR500 have same HW under the hood. So, waiting begins =)
