    Interestingly, on the latest Asuswrt-Merlin 3004.388.8_4 Binding it with the app didn't automatically turn WAN access on, CONFIRMED. I am yet to figure out the benefits of the bind.

    Thanks for pointing this out, brilliant. It definitely fell thru the cracks and I didn't even think that may be done. And you are right, even with Airtime Fairness DISABLED, IoT (2.4GHz) devices still get disconnected (happened daily or at least once every 2 days in the past week).

    My Sonoff IoT devices keep losing connectivity to the main Router (RT-AC86U, had a RT-AC68U doing AiMesh but it was mostly powered off in the basement), not sure if it is related to roaming assistant but I've disabled it for now to see if these IoT smart (dumb) devices have disconnection...

    I have this problem with 386.3_2 Also, the "smart" devices (light bulbs, plugs and 2.4GHz only IoT) devices got disconnected frequently with 386.3_2 so I am trying 386.4 alpha.

    I've bought Australian retail version of RT-AC68U and Chinese version (grabbed one while it was on sale, only 110 AUD). TL;DR if the price diff is small, I'd buy international or region specific version. The Chinese version comes with Chinese package and instructions, router UI is only English...
