Thanks for the replies, I fixed my problem, I have now bridged my modem so all router capabilities are disabled and now my Asus router is running properly and the pi-hole works!

That makes a lot of sense. I set it up as an AP because I had some issues when using it as a router. I'll change it when the network isn't used.
