I sent the power adaptor with the unit when it went to Asus. I don't have another Asus one, but I might be able to find something with the correct voltage and polarity.
Done, but unfortunately it's no different. Seems like I have a dud. I could live with the indicator not working and the slow startup of the 5GHz signal, but in my experience, things don't fix themselves, and ultimately deteriorate - usually after the warranty has expired.
Thanks for the suggestion. Yesterday, before I had changed anything, the 2.4GHz indicator went off for a while, although the signal remained available.
I changed the settings as per your post, then switched router off then back on again, but it's not altered the problem.

I have a problem with an RT-AX3000 V2 that is still within warranty.
The 5GHZ light is intermittent, but 5GHZ signal is still present when the light is off.
The 5GHZ signal did have some intermittent issues as well, so I performed a factory reset and updated the firmware.
