Edit: went back in and noticed out of memory errors. Moved to kernel and restarted. Successful connection to phone.
Well when Conexon comes the six hopefully RT-AX86U can deal with the former. Already ran the drop, but no ONT.
Came and went. All I had to do was swap the Ethernet cables on the WAN from theirs to mine.
I think there's one post were someone created a wiring loop. But they may want to bind the MAC and IP so it can't accidentally change under them and lose access.
I agree, and I'm glad I can "roll back" unlike some equipment (didn't help). With that all said I was having WiFi issues, and to resolve everything I blew it all away with a hard reset. Reentered the important stuff, and so far everything works even the RT-N66U which I repurposed as an AP...
Well except from a security standpoint one doesn't know it will affect them till it happens. Pretty much all computers have this problem, even routers. Hence the exploits you hear on the news. In other words people upgrade for more than just features but security.
Well you're right about "roll of the dice" although my update worked well for a good while, then I noticed I had pages that didn't load on my phone. I had both a better ethernet connection, AND my phone did better connecting using a cellular connection. Kind of a mystery because otherwise all...
