+11 Same here i manually downloaded and flashed the firmware. but the log file was showing kernel messages every second, so I flashed back the previous firmware.. my question is does it hurt/damage the router?? The router was on the new firmware for more than 12 hours …

Well done, the new update is not available anymore. Asus is investigating the reports.

Depends on your configuration, Mine is simple so i can start fresh in a few minutes. However it is important to upgrade the firmware for security and performance reasons

3.0.0.4.386_46061 was the most reliable version i think i will downgrade to that.

That’s why from now on i will never update straight away I’ll wait a week minimum before upgrading to a newer firmware!

I wish ASUS will separate these two models with a separate firmware for each model and a separate support pages

some update guys, you were all right about this firmware bricking ax86u/s. I think this update is not even for the AX86U model, I think ASUS is messed up big time! So I checked right now the system log file, and I was shocked I found that the AX86U was about to die if I wasn't checked the log...
