Updated my AX86U about 12 hours ago. Used some with and without DNSSEC. No problems have been noticed.

It looks like it is available again for pre-order with estimated release date of Aug 18th.

I'm not certain, but I think 386 support for wpa3 depended on the hardware and that 388 dropped support for hardware that doesn't support wpa3.

What do you mean by ISP speed test? I consistently get much better results using speedtest.net (explicitly selecting server which is better than Comcast) instead of speedtest.xfinity.com. Do you mean something other than speedtest.xfinity.com for my ISP speed test? My thought is that...

Thanks for the correction. I will remove it the next time I update my config since I don't like having unnecessary or redundant stuff even if it is benign.

For DNS, I add this to the VPN Client Custom Configuration rather than changing the WAN settings: dhcp-option DNS 103.86.96.100 dhcp-option DNS 103.86.99.100

Your issue could be a totally different from what I've seen myself, but using VPN on the router doesn't block ipv6 leaks, so I need to either disable ipv6 on the router or in Windows. The NordVPN app already blocks ipv6 so it works without disabling ipv6 on Windows or on the router.
