    RT-AX56U suddenly rebooting constantly

The issue isn't related to the SD card. I've done the below and it's still rebooting, so I'm going to return it to Amazon. I didn't buy it all that long ago, they sold it as a clearance item as soon as Asus took it off their supported list. - Removed USB/SD card - Flashed back to original Asus...

    RT-AX56U suddenly rebooting constantly

It started rebooting again, so I've unplugged the USB adapter with SD card. It's still rebooting. Do you have any other ideas?

    RT-AX56U suddenly rebooting constantly

You just triggered my memory, I had this happen once before and it was due to a faulty USB drive. About a year ago I replaced it with a USB SD adapter + card. It must have known I was talking about it, because the reboots have stopped. If they start again, the first thing I'll do is pull the USB...

    RT-AX56U suddenly rebooting constantly

I've got an AX56U that was running the latest stable Merlin (3004_3.88.6). It's been running absolutely fine without skipping a beat. Suddenly I wake up this morning and every 5 to 10 minutes, the router is rebooting itself. The system log doesn't reveal anything unusual, I've been right through...

    Custom DDNS not auto updating

I've got a custom DDNS script set up which works perfectly if I run it manually, but for some reason whenever my WAN IP changes or I reboot the router, it does not run by itself. Last night my IP changed and I wasn't at home, so I had to log into my ISP's portal and find out what the IP...

RT-AX56U - SSL error when accessing a specific website

I must have enabled it at some point but didn't realise it wouldn't have 'let go' once I turned it off. Cheers :D

RT-AX56U - SSL error when accessing a specific website

Clicking 'Withdraw' from the Parental Control/AiProtection has resolved the issue. Thank you so, so much. Saved me having to hard reset my router which I wasn't really looking forward to due to my custom DDNS setup etc.

RT-AX56U - SSL error when accessing a specific website

It doesn't make any difference which DNS servers I use. I've tried setting the router to auto-obtain DNS from my ISP, I've tried setting 1.1.1.1 and 8.8.8.8 both on the router and statically on my PC network interfaces and even installed Unbound on a Linux VM as a test and ran my own local DNS...

RT-AX56U - SSL error when accessing a specific website

Mine doesn't quite work like that. If I reboot the NTD then I'll get a new IP from my ISP. If I reboot my router, I won't usually get a new IP. My ISP toolbox also allows me to kick my own session from the remote end, which also gets me a new IP. I've had this problem for a month now at least...

RT-AX56U - SSL error when accessing a specific website

I do have a NordVPN subscription, and if I connect to the VPN first I can successfully access the site. I have a dynamic WAN IP that changes semi-regularly. I don't suspect it's being blocked in any way, because as soon as I bypass the AX56U and connect my fibre NTD direct to my PC there are no...

RT-AX56U - SSL error when accessing a specific website

Both AiProtection and Parental Controls are turned off, so it can't be that. I can access a whole bunch of other gambling related sites without any issue, it's just this particular Chasebet site that I can't access.

RT-AX56U - SSL error when accessing a specific website

I've got an RT-AX56U and using it with the latest Asus Merlin (388.2_2) on a fibre internet connection using IPoE (DHCP WAN). The fibre is connected to an NTD which provides an Ethernet connection to the WAN port on the Asus router. I have nothing special or unusual configured and am using the...

WAN IP is wrong, port forwarding not working

I upgraded my speed and it looks like during that process, the ISP had turned back on CG-NAT. There is an option in my account toolbox to turn it off, which I've just done and it's all working perfectly now. Thank you to you both for the replies!

WAN IP is wrong, port forwarding not working

After using an RT-AC87U for almost 4 years, I picked up an RT-AX56U on sale. I also changed internet providers on the same day as I set up the new router. I've got a custom DDNS script that was working fine previously on the old router, and after copying it across to the new one it works there...

    5GHz WiFi disabled on RT-AC87U

I followed your advice and it didn't fix the issue, but after doing your steps and another factory reset it is all working perfectly now. It's great to have the 5GHz back, thanks!
