If i plug PC into ISP modem, it does not recognize the connection as ISP modem is acting as signal converter. ISP modem (signal converter) > Router (PPPoE) > PCs and other devices

I can't log into the ISP modem. The technician said that he set modem to converter mode. It only convert the internet signal. I've tried to plug my PC directly into ISP modem and access via default IP address. I've tried Cat 5 cable before switch to Cat 6
