[Official Release] AiMesh Firmware v3.0.0.4.384.10007 for All Supported Products

@thiggins What are you thoughts on using a single SSID across several AP's? Is it just as good if not better than mesh? Is roaming assist beneficial? To me it all comes down to channel overlap. Will there be channel overlap issues whether using AP's, WDS, or mesh? Maybe there is a util out...

[Official Release] AiMesh Firmware v3.0.0.4.384.10007 for All Supported Products

Thanks for the reply. The program is called Vortex CFE Edit: I actually got the link from the goggles99 post. I'll try HxD and see if that makes any difference. Resetting router 2 and going straight to search did not work.

2 RT-N66U's or 1 and something else for 2.4 wireless?

Thanks for the respones so far. My downstairs WNDR3700 V2 is still functioning as a wired AP. After looking at pricing for the RT-N16 (~$85) I think I will stick to the current downstairs AP. I have no real performance complaints. I expected a single band AP to be much cheaper. I have...

2 RT-N66U's or 1 and something else for 2.4 wireless?

My Netgear WNDR3700 V1 2.4ghz radio bit the dust this weekend. So I've decided to go with the N66U as a replacement. I don't have any 5ghz devices so I'm really wanting the best 2.4ghz performance. Right now I have a 3700 in my equipment closet upstairs and another V2 hardwired in a central...

    Extend wireless: wndr3700-ethernet-wndr3700

I actually ended up buying the Netgear set last night. Amazon had them for $93 and the DLinks were $120 so I canceled the DLink order. I was a bit confused in the 2 reviews. Originallly the Netgear review from Feb showed it to be great then the review from Nov showed it to be near the bottom...

    Extend wireless: wndr3700-ethernet-wndr3700

Thanks for replies. I have a V2 3700 on the way. I misspoke about the Blurays not being N capable, they are just not 5 Ghz. I also have a Dlink AV500 on order to link to the main TV. I sure hope it doesn't cover both outlets, I've heard conflicting reports. From the test results I read that...

Do these Powerline adapters take up the whole wall socket?

This was my dilemma. I wanted the DLink AV500 since it appeared to outperform my second choice Netgear. However, it sure looks like the DLink will block the outlet above it and I really don't want to go buy dongles to extend them past the plug. I suppose I will take the performance hit and...

    Extend wireless: wndr3700-ethernet-wndr3700

Need to get stronger wireless signals downstairs for all of the wireless blurays, wii, DS, phones, cameras, etc. I have a single wired ethernet run downstairs. My plan is to connect the 3700's through that wired ethernet (ethernet port to port), turn off DHCP on the downstairs router, assign...
