    Thanks SEM, I was told that a separate modem and router is the way to go. I had my eye on a Draytek 100 series modem and a Netgear DM111P ( Broadcom chip ) - I didn't know whether these would work with the Asus Routers or a Buffalo WHR-HP-G54 ( with dd-wrt )
