GT-BE98 PRO - Is there a new version?

WiFi 7 needs A LOT OF WORK.....! My network went back to NIRVANA when I switched back to WiFi 6 routers. I hope ASUS and others, figure it out soon, because WiFi 6 is kicking their butt for now..... ;)

GT-BE98 PRO - Is there a new version?

POS, I returned mine for a full refund. Too many problems with the Network. https://www.snbforums.com/threads/new-rog-gt-be98-pro.93339/

    ASUS RT-BE92U

WiFi 7 was nothing but a PITA for me, with the GT-BE98 Pro that I purchased and returned within a month of ownership, for a full refund. I'm back to WiFi 6 wired backhaul mesh setup with ZERO issues what so ever. WiFi 7 still needs a LOT of work, IMHO, especially the 6GHz channels.

    New ROG GT-BE98 Pro

Got my money back from Amazon, full refund....! 👊 Our AX86U/AX86U Pro mesh network has been working flawlessly since it's inception. NO problems what so ever. I love it.

    New BE-98 Pro

This was my experience with it.... https://www.snbforums.com/threads/new-rog-gt-be98-pro.93339/ Best of luck with it. ;):)

    New ROG GT-BE98 Pro

IMHO the whole WiFi 7 quad channel MLO or non MLO system, it's a PITA. Like I said above, my network is in Nirvana now and I like it. It will be a long while before I cross the $700 router line in order to get NOTHING out of it. All I have to say to Asus is that they need to work on it, A LOT...

    BE86U - worth upgrading from AX86U Pro?

My advise? Stay with the AX86U. The router is very stable. Here is a link to my story with the BE family of ASUS routers, if you are interested. https://www.snbforums.com/threads/new-rog-gt-be98-pro.93339/

    New ROG GT-BE98 Pro

Well, guys, I gave this beast of a router a chance for a whole month. It has been nothing but trouble. The 2.4Ghz band is almost useless with IoT clients. The 6Ghz is nice but only if you are very close to the router and your client is 6Ghz and WiFi 7 compatible. If you remember I backhauled...

RT-BE86U - how to disable Smart connect?

I have my Network with separate SSIDs for each of the four bands in my new GT-BE98 Pro and Smart Connect is nowhere to be found, just like @RMerlin said. Per forum’s advice, I limited the 2.4Ghz band to 20Mhz band width and channel selection in Auto. The router, which is the primary one, is...

    New ROG GT-BE98 Pro

@jzchen I do not see a smart connect feature on the GT-98U Pro. My bricked GT-AX6000 router had it and I never used it. My Epson printer is an oldie but goodie and that is the only device that drops off the Network the most. I had an exchange with Dong Ngo on his website and he told me that...

    New ROG GT-BE98 Pro

Hi fellas, Five days ago I purchase a new ASUS ROG GT-BE98 Pro. It is a massive router and it looks really cool. I wire backhauled my good old RT-AX86U to it. The network has been working well. The only thing I don't like is how the 2.4Ghz channel works. I have about 28 devices at any given...

    Solved GT-AX6000 Rescue

I did all of the above that you mentioned before I read your post, on my GT-AX6000. It worked for awhile. I had it wire backhaul meshed with an RT-AX86U. The other day I wanted to reboot the system manually. I shut the main router first (GT-AX6000) and then the RT-AX86U. I turned the GT-AX6000...

    GT-BE98 Pro or wait...

I got it today. It's a marvel of engineering. The router itself is massive. I set it up and it has worked flawlessly so far. I even, wire backhaul meshed it with my good 'ole RT-AX86U and things are working pretty smooth so far. The only draw back is those two pesky 6G channels. They have no...

    GT-AX6000 and OpenVPN issue

Nope. Open VPN should work just like it worked before..... I have ZERO problems with OpenVPN after the firmware upgrade. REBOOT your router....! Shut it off manually from the ON/OFF switch and let it reboot.. You should be OK ;)
