    New firmware for AX86U

388_22525 has been very stable for me, without any Mesh issues whatsoever. Try it out.

    New firmware for AX86U

Today I updated my backhaul wired mesh AX86U with the new firmware for that router by ASUS, 388_22525 which according to ASUS, includes "improvements to wired backhaul mesh" configurations. The router came back to the Mesh configuration very quickly after the update and so far is running very...

    RT-AX86U Random Ai-Mesh drops

Firmware 388_22068 is junk. I had the same issues after upgrading both my GT-AX6000 and it's backhaul wired meshed router AX86U to that version of the Firmware. I flushed on both the previous two Firmware versions and had zero issues of that nature. Everything is working perfectly. I'm waiting...

    ROG Rapture GT-AX6000 finally announced

I totally agree. 22068 was junk. I had multiple Mesh disconnects with it. The router is extremely stable now with .21617. Thanks for the input.

    Wifi gtax6000

Just to put my two cents in, 388.22068 firmware has major issues. I would flush the older firmware into the router and see what happens, version 388.21617. That's what I did and I'm still running that version until they come up with a newer one. Like @Spartan said, there's the BETA version out...

    ROG Rapture GT-AX6000 finally announced

Anyone running Asus Mesh (backhaul wired or not) on the GT-AX6000 with the BETA firmware 102.3506? If yes, did you encounter any Mesh connectivity issues, like I had when I upgraded to the last NON BETA firmware 388.22068 ? I'm still running the previous Firmware on the AX6000 388.21617 which is...

Gt ax6000 rog vs ax86u pro

The best of both worlds is a setup like I have in my house. GT-AX6000 as the main router and the AX86U as a wired mesh backhaul node. They work great together and they have expanded my WiFi network tremendously. Having said that..., if you running a mesh system with those two routers, do not...

    ROG Rapture GT-AX6000 finally announced

Did the upgrade, on both my AX6000 and my wired backhaul node AX86U. After multiple reboots, the backhaul node was losing connection randomly and the AiMesh was completely unreliable. Re-flushed on both 388 21617 and problem solved. I operate both now with the 388 21617 version of firmware and I...

My SSIDs are the same for both meshed routers.

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.7 is now available for all models

As I mentioned above, last Monday I upgraded both my GT-AX6000 and the wired meshed RT-AX86U to @RMerlin 's 386.7. I was on trip for the last three days. My wife was complaining of random WiFi drops throughout the day. I told her to reboot her iPhone and iPad. It kept happening though. I just...

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.7 is now available for all models

That was a great explanation. Prior to upgrading my entire Router system in our house, I had for year the trusty 'ole RT-AC68U router with a Seagate 1T drive on it. I was running John's 374 LTS Fork firmware. I always upgraded with the drive connected with no issues at all. My new setup consists...
