Multiroom Audio on Alexa doesn't work

I noticed that my Multiroom Audio (playing same audio simultaneously on Alexa speakers) doesn't work when I have the Alexa's on a guest SSID & not allowed to access intranet. If I take them off the guest SSID, the multiroom audio works as advertised. Any way around this on Merlin?

    Hidden SSID causing Issues

Interesting points. Thanks I will try your idea of "hiding in plain sight!"

    Hidden SSID causing Issues

I know hiding SSID isn't consider a real security countermeasure for a home network but I rather like it that I am not broadcasting my SSID all throughout my neighborhood for any person with a cell phone to see. However, side effect is occasionally my smart home devices loses connection to the...

    AC86U to Replace AC68P

My house is 3K sqft. I have no problems getting at least 2 bars in the most remote distant areas of my house. Speed is at least 35 mbps where there are 2 bars on 5Ghz. & that's with metals doors around the house too. Mine is centrally located but in a closet. Outside the house & outside those...

Most Homes Need 50MB Service or Less!

Yeah I was hoping to get the 'next big thing' tech in 2021 for my next TV. But 4K content has still not even gotten to a 25% issuance rate yet so I doubt anything would be available in 8K in 2 years for us to watch. My 60" - 1080p Plasma is still good enough @ 13 ft away esp. with my 20/200 eyes...

Inheriting R6700 - New to Netgear - need some advice

Thank you for the wealth of info. Great place for me to start. Since I use Merlin (3rd Party firmware for ASUS Routers) I have no doubt the learning curve for WWRT or tomato will be too steeep.

Cutting TV Cord w. VZ but only have Coax in House - which MoCa Adapter?

Ahh ok. I guess I capped unused Coax in my own patch distribution panel so long ago - I had forgotten this practice. And the coax I do use - have Mini's attached to them.

Cutting TV Cord w. VZ but only have Coax in House - which MoCa Adapter?

Thanks for the tip. All coax cable will still be attached to that splitter in post 25 by krkaufman: They will remain connected to wall plates in 3 of the 4 locations with the last one planned to be connected to the new MoCA adapter & WiFi router. So capping the other 3 inside the house is...

I like it! You just basically updated my parent's house into fully data capable smarthome!

Cutting TV Cord w. VZ but only have Coax in House - which MoCa Adapter?

3 level house: basement/main/upper. Den on opposite side of Cat5e's point of entry in basement. Thanks for diagram - love the visuals! To tell you the truth - the VZ router was really a MI424 & it was supplying decent speeds even with a house of 12 people over the holidays with their devices...

Cutting TV Cord w. VZ but only have Coax in House - which MoCa Adapter?

Since they confirmed that those blue Cat5e's have been pulled through from the outside - they're keeping the wires as is & not pulling anything through. Will be terminating the den - where the router will be located to accept this ethernet. Since the Cat5e lines have been all pull through to...

Cutting TV Cord w. VZ but only have Coax in House - which MoCa Adapter?

So this 'lead' might prove to be a bounty. Confirmed with Dad & Brother that these are: Honeywell PN 5078 aka Cat5e. 1Gb possible speeds . And they're in the process of confirming which Cat5e goes where but the den has been confirmed inside as available behind the plate containing the coax...

Cutting TV Cord w. VZ but only have Coax in House - which MoCa Adapter?

Great. Least problematic is the hardware @ this point after all the above. Question: do you know if I identified the correct Ethernet ONT out port in the attached picture? Or is it one of the 2 below that (not identified)? UPDATE: confirmed I had id it correctly in this pic I found from...
