    ASUS RT-BE92U

First day of owning a "hot trash can" from Asus to replace the AX88U. Setup, changing regio to US for more power and channels, disassembly, copper installation, disappointment... Beamforming doesn't seem to work, we're waiting for them to finish it, maybe the speed will increase... On the...

Looking for feedback: Anyone considering AiCloud important to them?

Do you really mean this? Asus makes a lot of devices with internet connection. And making one universal and well-protected login page is not that difficult. I think.

Looking for feedback: Anyone considering AiCloud important to them?

Why can I securely log into my bank and many other sites, but not into my router? Can't Asus even do something this simple? I use VPN now, but if it were not necessary, it would be easier for me and other regular users.

Looks like it's time to throw this Asus piece of junk out the door and move on to something more solidly built. ;-)

"Hurt" will happen again, and the chance is 100%. But what will be the reason? If it is DDNS - cut out DDNS, If it is AiProtection - cut out AiProtection, If it is ... - cut out ... Is this your decision?

This whole idea of cutting off AiCloud is like amputating your arm when it hurts. You don't do that, you try to heal it. Of course, there's always a chance that it will happen again. But cutting it off is not a solution.

My AX88U was already hacked in October. https://www.snbforums.com/threads/big-issue-with-asus-routers-killing-network-with-upload-flood.92242/post-931970 Now I have disabled AiCloud and WAN access. And I don't like it.

You are certainly right. But I am also lazy, like most "ordinary" users ;-)

The additional functions that I use (via scripts in the JFFS): - redirecting the DLNA server to a specific folder - cron script in init.start for automatic deletion of old files from the folder to which several CCTV cameras write

Looking for feedback: Anyone considering AiCloud important to them?

I am a simple user. I do not use VPN. I do not use external clouds. But I use AiCloud to access my files via WebDAV. And I use WAN access (and DDNS) to occasionally log in and wake up my NAS when I am not at home. I need these functions. Otherwise, I do not see the point in overpaying for a...
