[ROG RAPTURE GT-AX11000] Experiences & Discussion

OK hooked up and running for a day and a half no issue, nobody kicked off which was the LinkSys issue. I have been working through the whole web UI and am liking what I see there. The way you can dissect each individual device and see how much data it has used and when is really incredible that...

[ROG RAPTURE GT-AX11000] Experiences & Discussion

Hey another question. I am thinking that I will get nothing out of using the 2.5 gig port as I only have gigabit switches (plus only "Up to" a gig from my provider) but there is no issue if I use that port to go to my 16 port switch correct? If I use it anywhere it will simply provide the same...

[ROG RAPTURE GT-AX11000] Experiences & Discussion

It is a tri-band router. Funny thing I have never tried the third although it is broadcasting. Both of the 5 Ghz bands have the same name, but are active with an "Auto" network mode so any time I have ever looked only "1" 5 Ghz has shown up. Weird but up till lately this router has worked "Ok" I...

[ROG RAPTURE GT-AX11000] Experiences & Discussion

Hey no worries and appreciative for the response. I have the new Motorola Modem installed which was quick and painless. Have up to touching 800 mbps at the moment. I am not going to complain about that on a Sunday when everyone is quarantined and probably streaming everywhere. Also have about 30...

[ROG RAPTURE GT-AX11000] Experiences & Discussion

Good afternoon everyone, I have this router coming tomorrow and I am getting my Motorola Docsis 3.1 modem (Motorola MB8600) today as I am stepping up to gigabit service. I am running a Linksys router now and have seen no speed increase since my service was updated yesterday. I am not worried...

A few questions before I purchase

Thanks on the router info I was a little scared based on your comments, I did not think I had done anything too far out there but glad of the confirmation. If the RAM and the HDD were the same price the choice would be easy:D. I am thinking of just installing one 8 gig stick in the 471 and...

A few questions before I purchase

sfx, All I did was change the port # to one that is different than the router. When I would try to remote in to the NAS on the myqnapcloud I would get the router login and not the NAS. I have updated the router password as well as have the NAS password protected. If you think there is a concern...

A few questions before I purchase

Well the swap memory was still 100% utilized this morning well after it had finalized the indexing. I restarted it and have done basically nothing with it and it is @ 0% . Temps are currently: CPU 111 System 114 HDD 114 Does those reflect an adequate cooling allowance? It is not in free space...

A few questions before I purchase

OK figured out the expand volume scenario, quite easy once I dove into the manual, I was over complicating it but wanted to make sure I was on the right page as a lot of things were telling me the drive would be reformatted. The processor has never hit more than about 35% the ram is running...

A few questions before I purchase

OK a few follow up questions for you folks. When I am looking at the drive in the storage manager it is only showing me like 2.7 TB available in the one volume. But the storage pool shows the 5.45 TB space but shows it half used. The manual clearly states that if I try to expand or otherwise add...

A few questions before I purchase

OK good morning, I have a couple of questions. I did the bad block scan last night and it finished. I have the 6TB drive in there but when I look at the system information I get conflicting reports. When looking at the system health I see that 212 MB are used but it only shows 2.69 TB available...

A few questions before I purchase

OK I got the drive took some pics (not the best in my haste to get it going) as it was all coming out. Put the HDD in plugged it all in and pushed the power button ....................and ................heart failure, would not come on. Take a deep breath and check...

A few questions before I purchase

stevech, Aqusition cost was high (for me anyway), one drive will get me started and allow me to learn the os until I can get two more. Then I can go to RAID 5. This is what I could do at the moment from a $ stance. Not the absolute best but a start, your comment however is spot on and understood.;)
