    Yeah I was thinking maybe it could be the power saving, but could not find any settings to change that. The preferred band setting worked fine, but it looks like it is sorted now even if I put it on auto mode. I went in to the router settings and changed the wireless mode setting of the 5GHZ...

    Yes, on the Intel wireless menu there were 3 options which were auto, 2.4 GHZ and 5.2 GHZ. It was set on auto at first but I have set it on to the 5GHZ band. Do you know why it would do this if it isn't normal? I have a Dell XPS L502X laptop with Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6230 adapter

    Thanks :) Actually I've found an option on my laptop which lets me select 2.4 or 5 ghz, so I have set it to 5 GHz and I'll see how it goes.

    Hello I have an issue with my connection... I have recently bought the N66U router and have set it up, with both the 2.4 GHz and 5ghz bands having the same ssid. The problem is that when I first connect my laptop to the router it automatically connects to the 5 ghz band and I get 75mb...
