    Strange DHCP behavior.

Greeting folks, I noticed a strange (to me) issue on my LAN. I'm using Merlin 386.7_2 on an RT-AX88u router. I have no VPN set up. No scripts; just plain vanilla networking and about 30 devices connected various through WiFi and wired. My DHCP is set up like the photos below.. [edit for...

Anything I should do before updating?

Thanks guys... success and everything seems to be fine. It was up and running pretty quickly and I did a factory reset. I copied from my screen shots and viola! I put in my OpenDNS settings in the DHCP and in the WAN and everything seemed to work fine. After about an hour, the TV went wonk...

Anything I should do before updating?

Thank you. I thought I remembered this previously. I just finished taking screen-shots of all the pages for settings. I'm fix'n to go in! Cheers!

Anything I should do before updating?

Greeting folks. I'm presently on 384.19 and the wife-unit will be out for a while. I'm contemplating on updating to the 386.7_2. I'm not an expert user as most of you are and my network is pretty basic. Is there anything I should do prior to updating with this large of a jump in firmware? I'm...

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 384.19 is now available

Hey folks... I have an AX88u on the way, presently running an AC88u with Merlin 384.12. My plan is up flash 384.19 firmware on the new router. Is there any hidden things I should be aware of or should it be as straight forward as previously. Nothing fancy on this end just basic computing...

[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.12 is now available

Thank you sir. I'll keep an eye out for any anomalies. I do have all parameters saved for my configuration and won't hesitate to reset to factory if anything seems amok.

[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.12 is now available

Well..... I did it. I wrote down or screen shot every setting for 380.65 I had running. From the update page on the UI, I selected the 384.12 file and uploaded it from a wired connection. After three minutes or so, the router rebooted and the log-in screen was a little jumbled so I refreshed...

[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.12 is now available

I'm an old dude with an RT-AC88u on 380.65. How much trouble should I expect upgrading dirty. I'll probably have an AX88u by the end of the week and figured I'd give it a go. With the wife-unit squawking so much with me 'experimenting' with the router, I adopted the "if it aint broke" mentality...

    Default Password?

Pulled out an old AC87u router for the mother in law. I know it has Merlin installed on it and I haven't used it in a while as my 88u is perfect. I did a 30-30-30 reset and let it boot up. I see the Asus1 and Asus2 but for the life of me I can't remember the password for the admin screen. Has...

[Alpha] Preview builds for Asuswrt-Merlin 380.60

Up and running with Merlins 380.60 alpha 3 on my 88u. Before the IPv6 was hit and miss. If the router was freshly rebooted, maybe my Comcast would have a good IPv6 connection. Now, it's been stable so far this afternoon. I have to say the throughput speed seems a bit faster. Well done.

    Asuswrt-Merlin 380.58 is now available

I have about 25 devices variously attached but no drives whatsoever. Curious.

    Asuswrt-Merlin 380.58 is now available

Actually, I had this happen to me on 380.57 alpha (I believe) which prompted me to upgrade once I saw the latest version. I always use the router IP address to log in. It was routing fine and up to speed but wouldn't let me log in on either 5ghz or 2.4ghz. A power cycle returned it to normal...

    Asuswrt-Merlin 380.58 is now available

Upgraded on my RT-AC88U and everything is working as expected. I was on a previous Alpha release that was working very nicely. So far, this is fast as hell. Nicely done.
