    Scribe Log question

Thanks... I was certain I had seen the logs rolling over before I started using Scribe.

    Scribe Log question

I have a question and don't know where to post it, so I am going to start here and based on the answer, maybe one of the moderators can move it - or I can delete this one and create a discussion in the appropriate forum. Some items in the log directory, messages for example, starts as...

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 3004.388.6 is now available

I set my 2.4ghz to N ONLY to get a problem camera online for good.

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 3004.388.6 is now available

OK I followed a section of the SANITIZE NETWORK process: Unplug all network equipment from the AC wall outlets and let them sit for 60 minutes or more if you can (minimum is at least 10 full minutes), including the modem, router, switches, NAS' and all clients/devices. Now, plug in the modem...

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 3004.388.6 is now available

Did a complete wipe and install from scratch to 3004.388.6_2 today. Less Memory usage and the rate of memory in use increase is a lot better, that is slower. GUI is blazing fast. Nothing is having problems connecting but all the 5 ghz devices are slower - laptop in the room with the router...

Prevent SSH Disconnect / Timeout around ~ 105-116 seconds from last activity on terminal session

Yeah, this is client side - not router. The router file name is ssh_config or something and that file is empty and can't be edited. I think you need this option too: TCPKeepAlive=yes

Prevent SSH Disconnect / Timeout around ~ 105-116 seconds from last activity on terminal session

Thanks - this at least will disconnect my end of the session - the router side shell is not respecting the TMOUT value any longer

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 3004.388.6 is now available

Well...had to back out anyway - Backupmon to the rescue! I seemed to be able to only get 1 radio on at a time. 5ghz devices connected but NONE of my IOT stuff would! When I toggled the 2.4 band off/on they came up, but I lost 5 ghz devices. Probably just need an install from scratch - will...

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 3004.388.6 is now available

I clicked on the flashing update notification - it checked but never presented an UPDATE button. I updated manually. Is this a bug or a feature?

    Crontab jobs disappeared.

I ended up writing a script that re-added my cru entries - that is, those not created by one of the add-on packages. My problem(s) seem to be when the cable modem had a reset and after a router reboot. I put a call to the re-post script in wan-event. I have seen the listing sequence change -...

OpenVPN Server set to LAN only allows browsing

Man it bothers me I will never know how I got those connections to work with everything going out the tunnel and living on a cul de sac on the remote side. A deadending tracert had been part of my verification.

OpenVPN Server set to LAN only allows browsing

yeah I found an OpenVPN support article that confirms what you describe . So what is the command: pull filter ignore?

OpenVPN Server set to LAN only allows browsing

I want only my administrative access to the web interface of the router on the other side. I do not want to pass traffic THRU the other side using the destination routers gate. Furthermore, I also can't see how a bug got fixed. I do see an OpenVPN article that mentions this IPTables...

OpenVPN Server set to LAN only allows browsing

this title and the 3 choices (along with how it worked before) imply LAN only means no getting out the local gateway to the internet 1st scratched line is the address of MY router and not the router I am VPN'ed into. So its still going out my gate and not thru the tunnel. I have a different...
