    RT-AC86U new firmware 3.0.0.4.386_44470-g53bccb8

On day 16. The only issue I've had is the GUI locked up once, but it came back on its own after several minutes.

Asus Firmware Poll - Merlin or Standard?

I used to run Merlin all the time (years starting with a RT-AC68U), but somewhere around 384.19 I started having random reboots on my RT-AC86Us every 2-4 days. I tried everything discussed in this great forum on two different RT-AC86Us (one 2018 and one 2019) to no avail. I finally went back...

PCE-AC88 with AC86U router only 3 spatial streams (1300/1300 max)

    I'm using Merlin's 384.17 and get 4 streams.

PCE-AC88 with AC86U router only 3 spatial streams (1300/1300 max)

On the router yes, but I can't seem to find the setting on the PCE-AC88U properties.

PCE-AC88 with AC86U router only 3 spatial streams (1300/1300 max)

Sorry, missed that part of your message. My PCE-AC88/RT-AC86U combo says 4(ac) on the wireless log, but the link rate is still limited to 1300/1300 at best.

PCE-AC88 with AC86U router only 3 spatial streams (1300/1300 max)

How do you distinguish the difference between losing a stream or dropping to 64-QAM?

    RT-AX86U/RT-AX5700 hits the FCC

The good news is that 2.5Gbps PCIe NICs based on the the Realtek RTL8125 are cheap ($29).

    Dual WAN Connectivity

Admittedly, I haven't tried it in a year or more, but when I tried it the the switch over worked perfectly, albeit a little slow, that is why I know about the parameters. I my case, I was using a USB tethered cell phone.

    RT-AX56U vs RT-AX58U vs RT-AX3000

Is the RT-AX58U a 2x2 or a 4x4 5Ghz router. If the latter, has anyone confirmed 4 atream link rate. Also, if the latter why does Asus say its only 2x2?

    AX86U

    Unfortunately, no 6E in sight!

    RT-AX86U/RT-AX5700 hits the FCC

I may take the AX leap if it supports 6E. Otherwise I'm sticking to my RT-AC86U.

    Dual WAN Connectivity

It has been a while since I've messed with dual WAN capability, but I seem to remember being able to adjust, at least to some extent, how quickly the switch-over takes place. Both to and from the primary. You have to be careful with the settings, because you wouldn't want the switch over/back...

Asus AX88U How To Manage BufferBloat?

What browser are you using? I'm a Chrome user, but it has given me inconsistent results on DSL Reports tests. Try Firefox.
