Good thing I am running the fine Asuswrt-Merlin firmwware. I will figure it out, just have been able to find it so far. I think it was on a table of addresses that had been assigned via DHCP, but not sure.

    Client Status Name... HELP please

I cant figure out where I set it, but it was somewhere on the router. I went around and collected the MAC's from all the devices and set nice descriptions like Abby's Ipod, APC environment, etc. Now I have a few new devices, and cant find it any longer. It is a feature that is usually real...

    Client Status Name... HELP please

I used to be able to rename them. (the ones I renamed still show up that way even after multiple updates with your super great firmware). I used that feature for identifying things like phones, ipods, etc that tend to give a very random name like android-akdfh837fjhkdhf which is useless for...

Where do I name the clients so they appear in status as what they are, as opposed to an random MAC? I did it at one time because some are named, but cannot seem to find that screen now. Thanks for any help

I figured out how to change it, but do not know which country code is the least restrictive.

    Build 3.0.0.4.220.17 are out!

Can that be adjusted? And will it tell you you cannot select a certain power based on a region if you try?

    Build 3.0.0.4.220.17 are out!

On the power adjustment the following is listed: FCC channel 34~48 max: 50mW for North America. FCC channel 149~165 max: 1000mW for North America. ETSI max: 200mW for Europe, South America and APAC. The real Tx power is automatically adjusted due to regional regulatory. How does the...

    N66U: inSSISer RSSI's

You have to configure the 2.4 section very specifically if you want 450 on 2.4. Specifically you have to select 40mhz, and you have to specify your control channel. If you leave the control channel set to auto, and or leave the width set to 20/40 the N spec requires it to drop the 40mhz if...

Asuswrt-Merlin - custom build of the Asus RT-N66U firmware

My router hit 24 active this weekend and did not flinch at all. Why I got it as other routers choked on weekends when a lot of people hit the home network.

    Asus RT-N66U Firmware Upgrade??

I just got mine on Friday, it also came with 112. I upgraded to Merlin's latest build right away. It is very solid and little things that are buggy are fixed in it. Plus you will want to start with 64 for when the next asus release comes out soon. It will be 64, but that upgrade will wipe...

Asuswrt-Merlin - custom build of the Asus RT-N66U firmware

If I clear them then I get the error message. Check them back, and hit apply, and it takes. I hit apply three times, as Merlin suggested. It appears to have changed, but no change in temp or signal around the house.

Which yellow highlighted instructions? At the top date to enable the radio is checked, and all days are selected. Not sure what you are referring to but, you may be onto something for me, if you could elaborate.

Asuswrt-Merlin - custom build of the Asus RT-N66U firmware

Yeah, I wish I could figure that one out. Not a show stopper, but the ocd in me wants to juice it up, if just to play around with from a testing standpoint. It is weird, sometimes changing that setting causes my router to reboot, and other times does not. It says it is set on the temp page...
