Same here. Laptop cooler and beamforming off but still getting the freezes. Sent my 87u back yesterday asking for a r7000 instead.

Strange that it is impossible to set the channel width to 80 mhz on the 5 ghz band.

For several hours I have been flashing back and forth and regardless of what I do I cannot set the Channel Width on WL1 to VHT (80+80). Anyone else with this issue?

Is the asus ddns available in dd-wrt? I really want to try it but have servers dependent on my current asus ddns. EDIT: By the looks of the documentation at the WIKI it seems ASUS is not available as a predefined DDNS set. However one could perhaps utilize the custom preset and get it that way...

Ok, then me getting 10-20 Mbps on OpenVPN on a AC87U running AES-256-CBC is normal? Same session but on my PC is running a lot higher.

Any tips on those slight changes you made? I got bad speeds in both the latest build and the one before that. Haven't tried any other FW:s.

That's weird because I have the AC87U running OpenVPN with the exat same encryption and I never get more than 18-19. I have tried running a session on my PC with the same service provider and got like 80 Mbps. Something is amiss!

May I ask what level of encryption you were running?

I have the AC87U running the latest FW and am getting loads of that message too in my logs. No disconnects though and I doubt that message has anything to do with overheating because I am running active cooling on mine.
