Need help with setting up CAKE SQM on RT-AX88U

As a fellow buffer bloat fanatic and gamer, maybe I can help. I am familiar with setting up traditional QoS and SQM since I also own an edge router 4. Anyway what website are you using for buffer bloat tests, waveform? I can get and A rating on my ROG Rapture and can get an A+ when I use the...

Anyone else have recommendations for CL fiber besides ER? I can not consistently get above 600M DL with my net gear r7800 with VLAN/PPPOE enabled and I am looking for options! TIA!

    Custom firmware build for R7800 v. 1.0.2.66SF

Hi! Can the r7800 do 1Gig DL with fiber configured for PPPOE? I am only averaging 600Meg with the stock FW. I read PPPOE turns off NAT ACC on the stock FW and the 7800 max out at 550-600M fro DL. Any ideas? TIA

    Netgear R7800 Firmware 1.0.2.62

62 is working great for me so far! Buffer bloat: https://www.dslreports.com/speedtest/44983675 I would usually only get an A on BB, now A plus!

Netgear xr500 your experiences with this router.

This has always been a concern of mine since i usually load 3rd party firmware on my routers. With that being said how do we know who we really can trust? I don't know Merlin, john, Voxel or xvortex personally, so i can not comment on who is trustworthy. I mean fraud is ever where. How safe is...

Xvortex, is there any performance loss using the Duma OS on the R7800?

Netgear xr500 your experiences with this router.

Yeah I need to try LEDE with cake sometime. Really the GEO filter is what sets the Duma OS apart from other routers, it works! When I was playing COD WWII, if I changed my geo location to the East coast I would be beasting and feasting but that only lasted a month. LOL. I guess need to find...

    NETGEAR’s CES 2018 Announcements:

Geo filter makes sure you connect to a specific host. As for the Duma OS, from what I heard over on their forums is that they built the firmware ground up. Their older firmware which is believe is openwrt does a better job using QoS with buffet bloat than any firmware I've used on my Asus...

    NETGEAR’s CES 2018 Announcements:

The geo filter from my experience is very effective. Basically you can control what server or host you want to play on. If the west coast server is laggy, I can move my geo filter location to the east coast and play on those servers or host. So basically I can control my ping to the server...

    NETGEAR’s CES 2018 Announcements:

Hmm that is odd, I have no issues posting. I have the R7800 and the Netduma R1. I was under the impression that the QoS on the Netduma was a different than NG QoS, but IDK. However Come to think of it, the R1 does have issues with a lot bandwidth. Which probably due to the bug with CTF being...
