    No Jumbo Frame for GT-AX6000?!?

@ColinTaylor sometime PMTUD ICMP packet are ignored and the source keep sending packet with an MTU of 1500 and get fragmentated not sure why, I use MSS Clamping on TCP to avoid that. On UDP I didnt find the proper way to avoid that issue

    No Jumbo Frame for GT-AX6000?!?

In my case, if you don’t have jumbo frame on fiber optical connection (through PPPoE), it will cause MTU to go to 1492 and cause fragmentation or to have MSS clamping to be enabled It is recommended to have an MTU of 1500 + 8 bytes of PPPoE = 1508 MTU on the WAN port

    No Jumbo Frame for GT-AX6000?!?

@xwildx You keep using the term "compliant" as if RFC4638 is a standard, it's not. It's an informational memo and there is no mandatory requirement for devices to support it. "compatible" might be a better term as it's entirely optional. It's optional yes, I never say that it's a standard but...

    No Jumbo Frame for GT-AX6000?!?

I have the same issue with my new gt ax 6000, my old ac3100 was able to have jumbo frame and was rfc 4638 compliant. Its funny that the top of the line ( gt ax 6000 ) is not rfc 4638 compliant for fiber (with pppoe) connection, most of the people will have the same issue since fiber connection...

OpenVPN on the BCM4912 (ZenWiFi Pro XT2 or GT-AX6000)

Here is my comment after 1 day of use of the GT AX6000 (version Asusmerlin 386.6) The booting and GUI is faster than the AX88U, we can definitely see an improvement. Temperature is about the same GT AX6000 temperature : (I have more than 65 devices on the wifi and on the network)...

OpenVPN on the BCM4912 (ZenWiFi Pro XT2 or GT-AX6000)

I just got the gt ax6000. It still doesnt support the baby jumbo frame, same issue like the AX88U. I also tested a Bell hhub 3000 and 4000 and it working, it is supporting baby jumbo frame without issue. The bell modem 4000 give around 20 mbps more than the gt ax6000 on a gigabit connection...

OpenVPN on the BCM4912 (ZenWiFi Pro XT2 or GT-AX6000)

I confirm that it work on an rt-ac86u or a ac3100. On the asus ax88u it doesnt work, not sure why the driver won’t allow it if you try to manually to set the wan port to mtu 1508 it give this : admin@RT-AX88U-06A0:/tmp/home/root# ifconfig eth0 mtu 1508 up ifconfig: SIOCSIFMTU: Invalid argument
