Hi all,
I’ve been testing the OpenVPN client “Kill Switch” behavior on Asuswrt-Merlin and I’m seeing inconsistent behavior depending on how the tunnel is started.
Tested on:
Router: ASUS GT-AX11000
Firmware: 3004.388.11
Branch: ubi firmware (NOT ROG build)
OpenVPN only
Tested with Policy...
@Adamm would it be possible to add CGNAT/double-NAT detection when it pulls the "Public IP" on the info screen, or wherever it is also displayed/used in.
like get it to query an external site like: "https://myip.dnsomatic.com/" for example for the real Public IP.
or just add a toggle for it in...
I took the plunge and updated to 8.0.7.
Before updating I did a full uninstall of Skynet and removed the swap file. After the update I re-applied my config and filter list exclusions. The only “dirty” thing I did was copy over my old .ipset, since I’ve got a lot of custom rules in there.
It...
@Viktor Jaep I get where you’re coming from, and I agree that taking cheap shots at Adamm or the project doesn’t help anyone. He’s clearly put a huge amount of his own time and energy into v8, and you can see he’s been working hard to track reports and push out fixes quickly. That deserves a...
well if anyone wants to revert back to 7.6.4, Commit: b388084289a07e572a5f37d03d1a9f896148bf25 was his last before 8.0.0, some reason 7.6.5 commit is missing from the repo.
/usr/sbin/curl -s...
Also, I forgot to mention I also had a massive whitelist as well that could have messed with it, not just massive filter lists. I had to whitelist a while back a lot of ASNs since Jack-Sparr0w-2o4 Filters were very aggressive at one time, & were blocking like a 3rd of the internet for me...
Ya i found that too at times, but I would just search the IPs' or sites that were generally being blocked, then update cfg (excludelists=) & just ignore the problematic lists from ever being downloaded from the main list.
I was using Jack-Sparr0w-2o4 Filters
And I did nuke the config fast & ipset, but Skynet still kept shutting me out till I recalled the uninstall command after my 7th reboot.
scary scary update, thought I bricked my router, had to ssh in fast just to uninstall. thank god for backupmon..
Don't forget to disable auto updates guys. I had this on..
Does anyone know what happened to https://raw.githubusercontent.com/jumpsmm7/GeneratedAdblock/master/filter.list
it seems the Author nuked his repo & re-created so I cannot fetch the old filter list I've been using for years from the commit history, Does anyone have a backup copy?
I've tried...
hope official Merlin supports the standard GT-BE98, as I cannot seem to find the pro variant anywhere I don't think they will sell an AU version of this or to international markets due to regulatory standards concerning the 6 GHz frequency band.
I may either wait or go for GT-BE98 when the time...
Hi, i'm not sure how to ask this or if this has been asked, I want to have
nameserver 127.0.0.1
at the top of resolv.conf every boot.
now my WAN DNS Setting has
1.1.1.1
208.67.222.222
and it doesn't allow for a 3rd or 4th and so forth name servers to be listed only 2.
I want to be able...
can you add support for VPN tunnel detection without them running?
like I'd like to config my Policies without toggling the VPN tunnels on in order to select it as an option at Policy creation & editing..
also I have the "Redirect Internet traffic through tunnel" set to No is this right?
as I...
