Skynet Skynet v8 - Router Firewall & Security Enhancements

@Viktor Jaep I get where you’re coming from, and I agree that taking cheap shots at Adamm or the project doesn’t help anyone. He’s clearly put a huge amount of his own time and energy into v8, and you can see he’s been working hard to track reports and push out fixes quickly. That deserves a...

Skynet Skynet v8 - Router Firewall & Security Enhancements

Skynet Skynet v8 - Router Firewall & Security Enhancements

Also, I forgot to mention I also had a massive whitelist as well that could have messed with it, not just massive filter lists. I had to whitelist a while back a lot of ASNs since Jack-Sparr0w-2o4 Filters were very aggressive at one time, & were blocking like a 3rd of the internet for me...

Ya i found that too at times, but I would just search the IPs' or sites that were generally being blocked, then update cfg (excludelists=) & just ignore the problematic lists from ever being downloaded from the main list.

    GT-BE98 ASUS firmware to merlin

hope official Merlin supports the standard GT-BE98, as I cannot seem to find the pro variant anywhere I don't think they will sell an AU version of this or to international markets due to regulatory standards concerning the 6 GHz frequency band. I may either wait or go for GT-BE98 when the time...

Proper dnsmasq config for local resolver?

Hi, i'm not sure how to ask this or if this has been asked, I want to have nameserver 127.0.0.1 at the top of resolv.conf every boot. now my WAN DNS Setting has 1.1.1.1 208.67.222.222 and it doesn't allow for a 3rd or 4th and so forth name servers to be listed only 2. I want to be able...

or the drive's UUID could also work, it should be safer as this does not change usually unless you reformat.. you can get that with blkid /dev/sda3: LABEL="Boot OS X" UUID="166032f7-ca81-3676-8061-6be63da7e0ed" /dev/sda2: LABEL="TimeMachine" UUID="533c11b8-b5df-41bf-be1d-0e0a8d1e597b"...

BACKUPMON BACKUPMON v1.5.10 -Mar 1, 2024- Backup/Restore your Router: JFFS + NVRAM + External USB Drive! (**Thread closed due to age**)

nvram get usb_path_sda1_label gives me EFI as the output I have 2 devices plugged in, one is a 2TB HDD for time machine backups & the other is a 32gb thumbdrive for Merlin Entware etc.. I formatted the USB drive initially on my mac as ext4 for this router so it did not come from another setup...
