    DSLReports Speed Test Now Measuring Buffer Bloat

    Downstream is slower than speedtest.net; however, more representative of real world performance. There are very few people on my node but I am in MN, so links can get saturated between other Level 3 sites. More so that happens during the work day. I have HW Nat on but no QoS.

    Can Asuswrt-Merlin remap a LAN port to function as a WAN port?

    I can hit around the same 960 Mbps on speedtest.net. Even with a layer two switch hooked up directly to my ont I don't hit much more. There may be some overhead in the connection.

    Best Router for Gigabit Internet, Currently Have R7000

    Installed Merlin firmware and throughout went up to 90 meg/sec after enabling jumbo frame. It's close enough now that I'll just keep what I have as opposed to trying to stretch out the last few Mbps...
