    this is for example one of my MBP right now: it's literally 1m away from the AP, it should be on 5Ghz. edit: In fact, it just switched again to 5Ghz it's constantly switching.

    If clients are choosing 2.4 even though they are more than capable of staying in 5Ghz, what's the most likely reason? SmartConnect or Roaming Assistant or something else? I'm using the default SC config: 2.4: greater than -62 5: less than -82 In fact, what do these number mean? For example...

    Rt-ax86U disconnects frequently

    I did change the cable too, just to be sure. Sadly, that's not the root of the issue. IIRC, I couldn't configure my ISP's on bridge mode, so what I did was to disable DHCP, APs and basically everything, and configure as DMZ host the AiMesh router. It has been working like that for a year...

    just registered to post a similar issue, but with AX82U, and found this thread. In my case, I got 2 x AX82U in AiMesh setup, and the ISP's router just as modem. For several weeks now, I have experienced disconnections as well. Losing about 30-50 ping probes in a row and then recovering again...
