    Yes, I have tried merlins latest and asus latest. I have also tried 2 versions older of the original asus firmware with no difference.

    I have tried disabling smart connect. It's not on as default and the router was reset. I've been using cables and not wireless. I'm thinking I just have to accept that the AC3200 is slow and use it as an accesspoint instead of a router since if I put the router in AP mode and put a cable in it...

    Ok, so just to rule out any changes I did a factory reset on the AC87U as well. This means that they both have the exakt same settings, meaning none. Now the difference is even bigger. AC3200 down up 544 714 535 835 544 782 AC87 after reset down up 792 962 854 962 858 961

    I had the AC87U on lan1. I moved the cable to lan3 but it's just as fast there. No difference at all actually.

    I tried installing the original firmware 3.0.0.4.378_9459 on the AC3200 but that didnt help. Same bad figures compared to the AC87
