Rmerlin, please introduce a time delay setting for Wan Connection at boot

Thanks RMerlin. I fixed the issue today. I tried multiple times power cycling both the router and the modem with several minutes of downtime without success. I finally changed the WAN DCHP settings. Under "Special Requirement from ISP" I changed MAC Address to <blank> and DCHP query...

    RT-N66U + Motorola SURFboard + Charter Communications = fail

Fixed the issue today. I tried multiple times power cycling both the router and the modem with several minutes of downtime without success. I tried one last time and changed the WAN DCHP settings. Under "Special Requirement from ISP" I changed MAC Address to <blank> and DCHP query frequency...

Rmerlin, please introduce a time delay setting for Wan Connection at boot

I will also say, that I noticed my router/cable link sometimes came up orange at Mbit speeds rather than Gbit. I'm using a 24" Cat 6 cable, so maybe it's a connector issue.

Rmerlin, please introduce a time delay setting for Wan Connection at boot

mrvain - I'm getting this same issue with my N66U and SB6120 with Charter Internet. When I'm back home, I'm going to see if power cycling with the 5 minute delay between modem powerup and router powerup helps anything. I'll post results.

    RT-N66U + Motorola SURFboard + Charter Communications = fail

I'm re-resurrecting this thread since I didn't see any other recent discussions on this. I've had continual problems with my N66u and SB6120 disconnecting. Most of the time the connection is quickly reestablished, but maybe once a month, it goes down and the only fix is to power cycle the...

Dropping Wifi Connectivity - Firmware 374.40

If that works it's a quick fix, so it won't hurt that much to try. I'm pretty sure as L&LD posted that you're not going to have luck with it. All the old settings are being reintroduced and there is one or a few old variables causing the issue that will be right back in the settings.

Dropping Wifi Connectivity - Firmware 374.40

Well, I've managed to fix the wifi connection dropping issue, although I took the shotgun approach so I'm not sure the specific fix, or if all steps were necessary. Along with upgrading to 374.41, I reset both phones' network settings and cleared the router's nvram and rebuilt the settings...

Dropping Wifi Connectivity - Firmware 374.40

Mine does this constantly even when using the phone. Wifi will drop in the middle of browsing. I have this issue as well with a Pixma printer, although it's difficult to tell of the wifi connectivity drops as it does on the iphones. The log is always when the printer is powered on. All my...

Dropping Wifi Connectivity - Firmware 374.40

rrrrrrrr - Do you also have inconsistent wifi connectivity as well? Does this happen with laptop/iMacs or just iOS devices on 2.4GHz? For me my macbook and any wired devices are fine, but iPhones are not. Signal strength is fine on the phones at -66dBm. Interestingly, the iPad on 5GHz...

Dropping Wifi Connectivity - Firmware 374.40

I've downgraded to .39 and still seeing the multiple DHCPREQUEST/ACKs in the log, and getting dropped wifi connectivity. Would this have anything to do with the new SDK6 build? (speaking from complete ignorance here).

Dropping Wifi Connectivity - Firmware 374.40

There is no indication in my system log of any reboots. The router itself seems stable. The wired connections don't exhibit any issues. It's only the wireless. I'd also point out that it happens regardless of whether the clients are configured with a static or dynamic IP.

Dropping Wifi Connectivity - Firmware 374.40

Well, not happy to hear others are having issues as well, but glad it's not just my network experiencing issues. Hopefully someone has an idea what's at the root of it. Mrid - you mentioned disabling "enable wmm no-acknowledgement" fixed the issue for you. Where is that setting? I didn't...

Dropping Wifi Connectivity - Firmware 374.40

I do have a windows 8 box on the network. I just updated to 8.1, but this has been going on much earlier than this week. Also, that PC is often not even powered on. It's just the two iPhones with this issue.

Dropping Wifi Connectivity - Firmware 374.40

I have a N66U which I recently upgraded with 374.40. Shortly after updating I noticed both the iPhones in the house were frequently losing connectivity and either switching to cellular data or requesting to reassociate with the N66U's SSID every 5 - 10 minutes. This has not been a problem for...

    IPv6 security

This may be old news since the firmware has moved into beta, but I tested my 6rd connection and the firewall works fine for me. Thanks for your great work on this!
