Asus RT-AC3100 (AC88u) very hot. Any one have installed copper shim in it?

Hi, My Asus RT-AC3100 (similar to AC88u) is very hot. If I dont use any method to cool it down, it will reach very high (ambient 34): Legend: 2.4 GHz - 5 GHz - CPU Current Temperatures: 50 °C - 55 °C - 75 °C I use a old server Delta 90mm 12v fan, (AUB0912VH) suck air out of the top. and temps...

How can I monitor temperature on an AIMesh Node (merlin)?

Hi all, I have done quite a substantial fan mod on my Asus RT-AC68u (circuit with temperature-control, driving 2x 12V fans with a separate power supply) and wanted to ask whether it is possible to monitor the temperature of an AIMesh node? Currently I can only see the main router. I'm on Merlin...

    R7800 Temperature

Hello everyone, Just curious, what is the temperature of your R7800? Mine is between 52°C and 56° in a room at 22/23°C I think it's perfect; spec wise. I also have a cooler for laptops, I can gain about 6/8°C when I turn it on, but it makes some noise in the bedroom, so...

RT-AC87U - WiFi not fully disabled?

Got a good deal on a AC87U so upgraded from a AC66U. Installed 380.68_4 right away and got to work getting it set up. Since I have a Ubiquiti AP, I have no need for the wifi on this router. In Wireless -> professional, disabled both the 2.4 and 5 Ghz bands. great done.... except maybe not...

    [Question] "Normal" operating temperature.

I was just wondering what the "normal" (non overclocked) temp of these routers (specifically RT-AC87R) is? Pretty much idle in ambiant temp less than 70 °F (next to a window that has a nasty draft): 23:49:37 up 13:49, load average: 0.00, 0.01, 0.06 Current Temperatures: 113 °F - 129 °F - 162 °F

ASUS RT AC3200 "safe temps" question :)

Hello there i'm new here but lurked a bit to decide my new router model. As you may have guessed by the title i've got an Asus RT AC3200 and i've set it up flashing latest merlin firmware (380.61) just today. Since my router goes into a "not so well" ventilated spot i was wondering if these...
