Hi

could be a coincidence but it only started with 387.19 beta2, my 2.4GHz clients keep getting disconnected overnight. :-(
can't reconnect until a reboot

nothing on logs, other than this around the time event happened:

i;m beginning to think it's some hostapd config issue? looked for hostapd.conf but couldn't find it.
changed Group Key Rotation Interval to zero in the 2.4 wireless page to see if it helps. bad idea?

any thoughts?

thx

Had exactly the same issue but on my RT-AC68U aimesh node, just after upgrading to 384.19... Clients started to ask for password on this wifi, rebooting them didn't fix.
Had to power cycle this Asus node and them all fixed.

I'm having the exact issue on a RT-AC5300 since x.18. And when the clients are reconnected, DNS lookups no longer functioning (on cell phones must do a lookup with cellular network).

i rolled back to .18 and problem is gone

I installed version 384.19_0 on my RT-AX88U some weeks ago and now couple of times I had to reboot because the clients (mobile, ipads, pc and consoles) dropped connection to the router. Does it seems stable that version 384.18_0? I went from version 384.16_0 to 384.19_0.

For me this problem started with 384.19
after downgrading to 384.18 problem stopped.

heyy i have the same problem on my asus RT-AC5300 Mobile phones disconnect from Wifi, have to reactivate wifi and the it goes

Hi, I have been having this exact problem for about the last 6 months. After finally stumbling across this thread I have downgraded my RT-AX88U and 2 nodes back to 384.18 (from the most current Asuswrt-Merlin). So far so good, but it's only been 1 day... Previously it could take some days before it started randomly dropping clients and I would end up having to reboot the RT-AX88U.
Has anyone who experienced the problem in this thread found a way to resolve it on a more recent firmware version?
