2 Second dropout in repeater mode on RT-AC66U/R

KanoOnAPhone

New Around Here
I'm using my RT-AC66U firmware 374.43 in repeater mode to extend my modem's range. I have it connecting to the modem over 5 Ghz. I was previously on firmware 270 using the 'Media Bridge Mode' to extend the range and I had zero drop outs. Now that I have upgraded to 374.43 and started using repeater mode I have drop outs about every hour. I have tried downgrading back to the 270 and using media bridge mode, but the drop outs persist.

Edit: I've been doing some testing and it seems the modem is giving all the clients a new IP when the DHCP lease expires. The modem is a SBG6580.

Edit: Edit: I rolled back to 270 and it seems to be back to normal. I guess my modem doesn't like the router's repeater mode. Or the repeater keeps requesting new IPs for some reason.
