4TB drive on ASUS RT-AC66R

Can the RT-AC66R USB port handle a 4TB? Documentation says 2TB.

Can the RT-AC66R USB port handle a 4TB? Documentation says 2TB.

Could mean they use FAT format which has a limit of 2TB.
NTFS format doesn't have that limitation but is doggy slow with NAS/Linux.

Native file system (extfs) is best choice.
