AC print servers

Occasional Visitor
I'm seeking an inexpensive print server for a Xerox Phaser 8560N "candle-melter" aka wax printer.

There are lots of adapters listed here, and I read about testing them, but printerservers need some backchannel scheme to configure them; I assume they are a special case for that reason. I looked for a writeup on them to no joy.

I can drive the printer with TCP/IP instead of USB, if necessary.

Suggestions?
