Hey all,

I use an AC66u as an access point to my AC5300, both on Merlin (380.69_2).

I see that the official firmware now supports AiMesh on the AC5300, but all references to the AC66u appear to be for the B1 model only. I don't believe I have this as I bought the AC66u the day it came out and I don't have a front USB port (seems to be the way to know?).

So a couple questions:
1) Do we know if the AC66u will ever support AiMesh?
2) Can I use firmware for the B1?
3) Will Merlin support AiMesh?
4) To revert to stock firmware, is there anything special you need to do besides simply uploading?

Thanks all!

Do we know if the AC66u will ever support AiMesh?

Highly unlikely.

Can I use firmware for the B1?

No, completely different hardware.

Will Merlin support AiMesh?

Unknown yet, my focus is still on stabilizing the 384 code base and migrating devices to it. Initial impression weren't too good however, chances are slim it will be supported.

To revert to stock firmware, is there anything special you need to do besides simply uploading?

Do a factory default reset afterward.

1) doubt it 2) no 3) no it's closed so he can't unless they release code, 4) a factory reset would be recommended
