Hello,
I've been a longtime lurker on this site, and gotten a lot of helpful advice. I'm hoping you all can help me with a problem.
I had a D-Link DIR-655 (H/W v. A2) for years (bought in 2007). I recently replaced it with a RT-AC68R (1 LAN port on the 655 failed). Overall the ASUS router has been great, with one HUGE exception. Xbox Live. With the 655 both my roommate and I could play Xbox Live together, without any issues whatsoever. With the RT-AC68R, using the same overall settings, we can't play together at all. We can both be online and playing separately, but if we attempt to join a game it all goes to hell. We swapped back the 655, and everything worked again.
I'm wondering if this is a Port Forwarding / Triggering / UPnP issue, as I run a VPN server (Port Forwarding the 4 ports necessary for IPSEC/L2TP) and a Slingbox (Port Triggering). Using the same setup (PF,PT, and UPnP) works just fine on the old 655, and fails on the AC68R.
Any thoughts?
Thanks!!
