AC68U Antenna question

Hi Folks

I have an AC68U, but the other day the unit dropped into the floor and then it raised a question for me, there is a way to check if each one of the 3 antennas are working as expected? there is a way to check the rssi or something like that per antenna?

There probably is but may require some specialized test equipment and that's a little over my head. I would probably use an app like WiFi Analyzer to see if your signal strength is the same as it was before the opps.

There really isn't anything inside the antennas that would likely be harmed by a fall. As long as the outside plastic shell is intact, and the threaded collar can still be tightened onto the router's antenna jack, you are OK.

Thanks for the info; one of the antennas (the one at the right side) is somewhat leaned, like the connector in the inside got bend or loose, anyways signal strength is similar to what I remember, but as there are 3 antennas maybe is the other 2 working fine... just being paranoic jeje.

Remember that antennas are also adjustable -- they can both rotate around the axis of the connector, and lean in and out.

What about disconnecting them, leaving but one and check the signal? Then change then one...

Maybe not a good idea.....the wireless power amps may not take too well to running without a load (the antenna)
