New Around Here
Hi guys,

My friend has an AC68U router which I have installed the Merlin firmware on. I have always upgraded the firmware remotely as I have port forwarding and DDNS set up.
However, since the first firmware upgrade, when I try, I just get the message "Please wait, applying settings" message and the upgrade doesn't progress.

The router is currently running version 386.2 and I am trying to upgrade to 386_2_6

I am interstate so cannot plug my PC into the router.

Any assistance would be much appreciated.

Using port forwarding for that is not a good idea. OpenVPN is better. You may have to use something like TeamViewer to run the upgrade from a local PC.
