AC68us keeping on continuously

Hi All,

Can 2 AC68us connected via ethernet LAN cable be kept connected continuously without powering off. Will it heat up the internals. Is it better to switch it off sometimes. Im afraid doing so will make the settings go awry. Also is there a sequence to turning on the both routers. Should it be the Router first and then the Access point or it doesn't matter!!!
