We have an AC-RT87U router for our home network and it's great. However, despite moving it from location to location to try to get the best coverage, we still have about 3 areas where the WiFi signal either doesn't exist or is really weak (the two worst are the garage and the back yard). I can get CAT5e or CAT6 from the AC-RT87U to all of those areas, but I don't know what devices to connect as WiFi Access Points that will also seamlessly manage the wireless connection handoffs between and among those devices and the AC-RT87U.
As I understand it, ASUS isn't going to (or cannot) provide an update to let the AC-RT87U use AiMesh, so that seems to be out as an option.
I'd really like to make this all work without having to start over with a different router, if I can.
Thanks
